Accounting Manager - Cerritos CA
Salary: $90,000-$110,000 annually
Location: Cerritos area

Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Accounting Manager to support their Finance organization. This role serves as the key partner to the Director of Finance and is ideal for a CPA who excels in technical accounting, month-end ownership, and team leadership.

The previous Accounting Manager recently retired, and we are looking for a strong successor who can take full ownership of core accounting operations in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role
As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee daily accounting activities, lead a small team, and ensure the accurate and timely delivery of financial results. You'll manage the complete close cycle, oversee AP and AR functions, and contribute to technical accounting matters including revenue recognition, GAAP compliance, and lease accounting. Experience working with large ERP systems (Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.) is essential.
This is a very hands-on role, ideal for someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves while guiding and developing the team.

Required experience:

  • Roll up sleeves and hands-on management of 4 accounting clerk staff members.
  • Manage all month end closing activities through financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, including technical areas such as revenue recognition, ASC lease accounting, and inventory accounting.
  • Perform inventory reconciliation and partner with cross-functional teams for accuracy.
  • Active CPA required and a 5-7 years of similar experience
  • Proficiency with ERP systems such as Oracle, or similar
  • Advanced Excel skills

** Could be hybrid after 6 months.
